March for Science

I invite you to join SPHA, SPH faculty, and many members of the UW community at the March for Science on Saturday, April 22, from 10am-1pm.

The March for Science, held in conjunction with Earth Day, is a celebration to highlight the vital role that science plays in improving our daily lives and the safety of our communities. This is a great opportunity to communicate a positive message to the public and public officials about the value and power of science. Similar marches are planned this day in more than 500 cities across the globe, with 37 countries expected to participate.

If you would like more information about the event, please visit the Facebook event page here:

We will meet at Cal Anderson Park and march as a group to Seattle Center. Look for the Student Public Health Association (SPHA) sign. You can also follow SPHA on our Facebook page for more details and updates about the event.
