Summer Camp Employment Opportunity Position: Activities Enrichment Leader
SCHEDULE:20 hours per week at $15.00 per hour for 6 weeks (July 11-August 26, 2016)

PRIMARY ROLE: The CADMA/Computing Kids Activities Enrichment Leader will directly serve as a positive role model, mentor and leader for a diverse group of
middle-school aged students attending a full-time Math, Science & Coding summer program. The primary role is to schedule & supervise enrichment and physical activities between learning sessions. The enrichment activities will be designed to provide students with a change of pace from academic instruction to include indoor/outdoor activities as well as field trips that are relevant, enjoyable, safe and age-appropriate.
REGION: South Seattle

DESCRIPTION: The Activities Enrichment Leader is charged with:

► Developing and Overseeing curriculum based activities,

► Supervising students,

► Collaborating with the project manager and instructors,

► Reporting (activities evaluation, expenses, etc.),

► (could include) supervising students on field trips.

Activities should be designed to provide students with a change of pace from academic instruction, while either reinforcing concepts learned in class or exposing students to inspiring innovations and career opportunities in technology. Activities take place both indoors and outdoors and emphasize collaboration, problem solving, and kinetic learning. The Activities Enrichment Leader should be able to organize cryptographic puzzles and outdoor games that utilize classroom concepts such as algorithms and variables or watch and discuss short clips on artificial intelligence, nano-robots or student programmers.

QUALIFICATIONS:
► AA Degree or professional experience or equivalent in the areas of education, math, science, technology, or youth development.

► Self-motivated, energetic, and able to maintain clear and healthy boundaries while using good judgment and age appropriate communication that is motivational and positive in nature.

► Must pass a Fingerprint background check (Child Abuse Index, Criminal Record Clearance).

► Desired: Valid Driver’s License, CPR & First Aid Certifications.
