WIN 2016 Course: Critical Engagements with Issues in Contemporary Nepali Society

We are excited to announce our first course dedicated to Nepali studies at the University of Washington.

JSIS 485C/585A "Rethinking “Shangri-La”: Critical Engagements with Issues in Contemporary Nepali Society"

This 5 credit course will feature 3 thematic issues that highlight Nepal today: civic engagement with Nepali community and diaspora; cultural politics of development and aid in Nepal; and contemporary global public health in Nepal.

The course is open to all undergraduate and graduate students and is held on Wednesdays from 1:30pm-4:30pm in Thompson 235.
