May is Asthma Awareness Month, perfect timing for Public Health Cafe, Childhood Asthma: Is it linked to the Environment?

Dr. Catherine Karr, DEOHS faculty, environmental health researcher, pediatrician, & director of the NW Pediatric Environmental Health Specialties Unit (PEHSU). Catherine will talk about childhood asthma and about her research: Hispanic kids with asthma and exposure to asthma triggers from farming operations in the Yakima valley.
